Our main office computer was recently replaced with a new PC running Windows Vista. I was able to install Servant Keeper 6 just fine. Restored the backup and all was well.
Our other computers in the office are running Windows XP. I am able to map a drive letter to the "Servant Keeper 6" folder that is shared on the Vista machine, but I get "Access denied" when I try to get to it.
As far as I can tell, the "Servant Keeper 6" folder is set so that all users have full permission to it. Is there some other option that needs to be set?
My original installation on Vista used the defaults, which put SK into the "C:\Program Files\Servant Keeper 6" folder. After reading the FAQ about installing SK in the root of C: instead of the "Program Files" folder, I uninstalled SK and reinstalled it into the "C:\Servant Keeper 6" folder.
The "C:\Servant Keeper 6" folder is set to be shared with full access to everyone.
Installed Servant Keeper into the Public folder on the Vista machine. Also used the "Map Network Drive" option when loading the workstation software on the other PCs.
